Mikael Rudolfsson är trombonist i Klangforum Wien och professor i trombon vid Musikuniversitetet i Wien. Efter studier i Göteborg, Hannover och Basel har han på kort tid etablerat sig som en av Europas ledande unga interpreter av nutida musik, med solistframträdanden i nästan alla europeiska länder, Ryssland, USA och Japan samt samarbeten med en lång rad tonsättare.
Höjdpunkter under innevarande säsong inkluderar Luciano Berios “SOLO” (Cambreling/Hamburger Symphoniker), uruppförandet av Judit Vargas’ nya trombonkonsert (Gardolińska/Orchestre National de Lorraine) samt inspelningen av en solo-CD i samarbete med Västtyska Radion, WDR.
Mikael Rudolfsson is trombonist of Klangforum Wien and Professor of Trombone at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. After studies in Gothenburg, Hanover and Basel, he has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young soloists of the contemporary music scene, with worldwide performances of the music of our days.
Highlights of the upcoming season include: Luciano Berio’s SOLO (Cambreling/Hamburger Symphoniker), the world premiere of Judit Vargas’ new Trombone Concerto (Gardolińska/Orchestre National de Lorraine) as well as a new Solo-CD in cooperation with the West German Radio, WDR.
